My Dear Friend,
I’ve received numerous letters following Perséphone. You must have been, I believe, content
with this concert, with this program, with what you achieved for a performance. Father Fortier
(the one who was at Santa Barbara) wrote to me that the broadcast in Canada was marvelous.
What nostalgia at not being there!
You will receive a letter from Winifred Johnstone concerning the Lili Boulanger Foundation. I
believe that you’ll be able to sign the ballot sheet without reservation in support of Bhatia, a very
gifted young Hindu who is very sick, [and] whom this bursary would help so much. And for Per
Nørgard, a young Dane, who is a real musician. It seems to me that these two boys truly deserve
this award.
I won’t tell you again everything that keeps me close [to you]. My fond wishes to you both and a
thousand to Bob,

Mon Cher Ami,
