My Friend,
I believe you would have been touched to see how attentively and precisely our students
prepared your Mass. This is a group of young people who really know your work by heart.
The performance they gave was so clean, so sober, and so comprehensive. Among others, we
have worked on Dumbarton Oaks, the Symphonie, Deux Psaumes [sic], the Canticum Sacrum,
The Flood; you know what these works represent for me. It does one good to see young people
understanding works of such importance.
I send all my love and am always your,

Je crois que vous auriez ete touche de voir avec quelle attention et quelle exactitude nos
etudiants ont prepare votre Messe. Voila un groupe de jeunes qui connaient [sic] vraiment
par coeur votre oeuvre.
L'execution qu'ils one donne etait si propre, si sobre et si comprehensive. D'autre part,
nous avons travaille Dunbarton Oaks, La Symphonie, Deux Psaumes [sic], Le Canticum
Sacrum, The Flood ; vous savez ce que ces oeuvres representent pour moi. Il fait de bon
de voir des jeunes comprendrent [sic] ces oeuvres d'un tel importance.
