Dear Friend,
I am arriving from Washington—the performance can only take place in the first week of May—
rehearsals begin on the first. I have sent you a wire, because the program with the Thèmes du
concerto must to be given to the printer before the 20th because of the Blisses’ trip. I am also
anxious to work through the finale—because of my eyes, I must know it almost by heart.
Mrs. Bliss has asked me to handle all expenses for you—and yours [your family’s]? I would very
much like news!

répétitions commençant le 1er
. Je vous ai câblé, car le programme avec les Thèmes du Concerto
doit être donné à l’imprimeur avant le 20 — à cause d’un voyage des Bliss. Je suis aussi
anxieuse de travailler le final—à cause de mes yeux je dois savoir à peu près par cœur.
Mrs. Bliss m’a chargée de tout depensées [sic] pour vous—et les votres [sic]—je voudrais tant
avoir des nouvelles !
