Boulanger to Stravinsky
The Palace of Monaco
January 9, 1958
How nice it is that you wrote to me. Sometimes we need a sign, and yours are [cause for]
celebration. Dear Friend, My dear Igor, I’ve so many things to tell you to which you are central.
Spoke at length with Rainier of Monaco. He is going to inquire about Villas that might suit you.
However, he has no buildings that could be put at your disposal. Yet I believe, nevertheless, that
you would have so many advantages in settling here. And [property values] are increasing at
such a pace that what we acquire one year quickly doubles in value. One of my friends who
bought a very nice apartment sold it two years later for more than double.
If it’s possible before I leave to visit the potential villas that would satisfy your programme, I
will see them and keep you up to date as quickly as possible.
My love to you both, a thousand good wishes for Bob, and I am wholeheartedly yours,
Nadia B.

Nadia B.
