The Five Roses brand of flour was first milled in 1888 by Lake of the Woods Milling Company. Five Roses became world famous and is still sold today (as is the Five Roses Cook Book), making it one of the oldest continuing flour producers. This cookbook is a compilation of over 1,000 recipes contributed by Canadians who used the Five Roses brand.
