The Leslies in Conflict

There have been many instances where prominent Leslies have been politically influential, both within and outside of the confines of the Scottish Kingdom. This section will look at the Battle of Harlaw, the military career of General Alexander Leslie (the Earl of Leven), John Leslie (the “Fighting Bishop”), Charles Leslie (a Jacobite and Anglican non-juror).
