What kind of postcard is this?

Unknown.jpg

The postcard was created by B.B London Publisher in Germany. The postcard is an image of Loch Awe, located in southwest Scotland. The postcard displays a beautiful landscape of a large lake with large buffalos in the foreground and mountains in the background. This particular postcard was a part of the New York Series. The New York Series was made up of postcards focused on friendship and staying connected (etsy, 2019). Often postcards in the New York Series contained religious references (darabanth, 2019). This postcard was most likely used to stay in touch with friends in family members. The postcard states, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). This is one of the magor belifs in Christanity. These postcards served as a mean to send religious messages to one another as a way to stay connect with their faith. You can see the Image above is another postcard from the New York series that serves as an Easter greeting card. Most likely a reminder to stay connected to God during the holiday as oppose to focusing on yourself or material things. However I do not know when the postcard was made. The back of the postcard indicated it was mailed in 1914, but I could not find when the postcard was ac tually produced.
