Firstly, we learn about Scotland’s natural environment.  Scotland in general is very hilly and green. The country is known for its delightful greenery because plants thrive in the somewhat warm, and very wet climate. This is evident in the postcard in the luscious tall grass displayed in the foreground (scotland, 2019). Consequently, the large dark clouds in the background give us insights to Scotland’s climate. Scotland is generally cloudy and experiences excessive rainfall (scotland, 2019). Thirdly, the postcard gives us some insight in the importance of religion in Scotland. Today 37% of Scotland is Christian. This postcard shows how they were often used as a medium to stay in touch. This is evident on the back of the postcard where a sibling is sending a birthday message to their sister. This shows the value of postcards as much more than just a medium for sharing images but also a way to share personal messages. This postcard shows the tremendous value of the postcard in that time period. The postcard gave people the ability to connect with eachother arcoss the country or the world. The postcard broke the distance between two people and allowed them to connect despite the distance between their locations. Plus, the postcard of Loch Awe shows the postcards ability to showcase beautiful landscapes and share them with the world
