The “Neilson’s Recipes” pamphlet was found in the Archival and Special Collections, University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario. The pamphlet was created by Neilson’s chocolate company, which is still a running company today. It was printed in Toronto, Ontario, and the date is not specified on the pamphlet, but research suggests it is from circa 1940’s (Rarenonfiction.com). The pamphlet is meant for Neilson’s brand cocoa powder, but on the back of the pamphlet and in the middle section, they also advertise their chocolate bars, and in smaller print, their ice cream, and many other products as well. The physical properties include 8 pages and the dimensions are 6 15/16” x 4 9/16”.
