Swift Canadian Co. published this cooking pamphlet after they released their cookbook that offered the public 77 different recipes that use Swift’ning Shortening. Swift Canadian Co. received extremely positive feedback after publishing this cookbook in 1950, so they figured that by “popular request” they should publish another 22 recipes. Now allowing customers to chose from 99 different recipes using their products. It is evident that this cooking pamphlet was generated to catch the attention of females, housewives in particular.
Today, this pamphlet does not bring about too much interest to consumers. It is a historical collective item that is now used for study what the world of culinary consumerizism was like in the 1950s. It no longer serves as it's original function.
