Looking at only the monetary value of the pamphlet you can see the price of $20 written on it, but, looking online, you can find two different prices, $73.68 and 59.95, both pretty expensive prices compared to other pamphlets from around the same time.

There however is more than just monetary value that you can put on a piece of ephemera. You can also look at the historical value and the sentimental value. You can study the pamphlet to learn more about the ear in which it was made, from how people lived to advertisement styles. By studying it, you can see that people in this time liked easy and quick things to make, seemed like people had a “chocolate-bar-a-day habit” and families wanted to buy things fresh, even chocolate. For sentimental value, this pamphlet could be passed down from parents to children, and to their children, and a certain recipe, or all recipes could be made to this day, because it was made when they were kids.
