Preservation

The preservation of the item has been carefully attended to, as there are no creases or distress of the poster. However, this observation is only based on the printed copy of the poster, the original poster’s condition is not available. The University of Guelph Archival and Special Collections department has taken immeasurable care of the item’s preservation, as they have taken many precautions to ensure the poster is not deteriorating. As well, because the item was reprinted, it is evident that this contributed to its preservation, as the poster is more durable than the original aging poster. It can be hypothesized that the original poster must have been kept in good condition as there have been many reprinted copies of the initial product within Massey-Harris calendars.
