My name is Ashley Fazio, I am eighteen years old and am currently in my first year at the University of Guelph. I am majoring in History and minoring in Sociology. I am from Burlington, Ontario and I am studying here with the hopes of going to law school so that I can pursue a career as a lawyer. It is a dream of mine to eventually open my own law firm. I have always loved history, I took many courses throughout high school and am now pursuing it in my post secondary education. I love to travel on my free time, my favourite thing to do is to explore and see the world. After taking this course on the history of Scotland, I think it would be very interesting to go there for my next trip. One of my favourite things to do as a hobby is to play instruments. I know how to play the bass guitar, guitar, ukulele, and am currently in the process of teaching myself how to play the piano. I would not be able to live without music, it is my life. Being in this history program has become a second passion of mine, as I love to learn about the past. This course has taught me tons of new information about Scotland and it has made me want to pursue the path I am going on even more because of the big role history plays in my future career as a lawyer. I will be required to constantly analyze things and pick out important information and being in this course has taught me some of the skills I will need in order to be successful.
