The location depicted in my postcard is Buchanan Street in Glasgow, Scotland. The first section of the street was opened in 1780, with the last section being opnened in 1804. The street began to gain prestige in during the 19th Century, with larger buildings and finer shops being put in. This is how the street became widely known for luxury and shopping, which continues to this day. Buchanan Street is located in Glasgow, Scotland, the biggest and most populous city in Scotland.
