About the Curator

My name is Ella May Keyes and I’m a first year undergraduate student at the University of Guelph. My major is English, and my minor is creative writing. I took History 1050 because I love learning about the past. I enjoy reading, writing, photography, singing, and martial arts, among other things. My favourite genre to read is historic fiction (I especially love stories about the Titanic), although my favourite series, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, is science fiction and fantasy. I mostly write poetry, but I like to write short stories, and I’m currently working on my first book. In October, I had one of my poems published in the Toronto Public Library’s Young Voices Magazine. My goal is to become a successful author.
