My name is Molly McNeely and I am nineteen years old. I am a first year at the University of Guelph, majoring in history. I am from Toronto, Ontario. I have always felt close to Scotland because my family greatly resognates with the culture and have always been proud of our ties. My great grandmother immigrated to Canada from Scotland alone when she was just 16 and worked to send money to her family in the Highlands, and eventually brought them to Canada when she had enough money. This aspect of my past has been the driving force behind my historical interest and my choice to become a history student.
