My name is Callum Gardiner. I am a Political Science student at the University of Guelph from Georgetown, Ontario. I have a passion for studying politics and history, particularly 19th and 20th century European history. Studying Scottish guidebooks and postcards has helped to expand my knowledge of the lives of common citizens in Great Britain throughout the past three centuries. The postcards in particular have been very useful in terms of discovering subtle parts of British culture as the country moved into the modern era. Particularly the evolution of societal reactions and valuations of the postcards.
