My Postcard as an Historical Artifact

As a historical artifact my postcard has several significant uses for a historian, although my postcard is unused and therefore lacking on the personal aspect of things, it still does offer a lot. Firstly, it offers a look into the boating culture that was associated with Scotland, that being smaller to medium sized steamers to travel around the lochs.

The postcard shows a small amount of Scottish architecture and coast culture of the timeline through the pier, reflecting on the culture that is associated with rural Scotland. Although the photograph from the postcard is of lower quality it allows for some insight as to popular attire for the moderate to wealthy travelers, the style of suits, dresses, or hats that are associated with the classes.
