Hello, I am Chloe Tsigaridas. I am eighteen years old, living in Oshawa, Ontario. Currently I am an undergraduate first year student at the University of Guelph, studying history as my major with a minor in classical studies. After I graduate, I aspire to work towards a master’s degree in history and become a history teacher in the future. I have been a full time dancer for fifteen years, and teaching dance for four years. Due to my busy schedule I have not yet had the opportunity to travel, but after taking Kevin James' class i am interested in traveling and vistitng more places. Especially Scotland, as their culture, archietcture, and cuisine has inspired me to learn more about this wondeful country and all it has to offer. One day I hope i can visit Stirling, Edingurgh, and Glasgow as these are all popular cities in Scotland. I chose History 1050 because I was interested in learning more about travel and tourism in relation to Scottish history. This class was very eye-opening as I learned about postcards in a new light and I grew a new appreciation for them. For instance, I learned that there is more to a postcard then what we realize when we first see it and it is very interesting to find the history behind them. I have learned many interesting facts and new abilities when working with postcards and I am now using these new skills to discuss the significance of the Stirling Castle Palace. Stay Tuned!
