About the Curator

Hello, my name is Ben Seitz. I am a first year student at the University of Guelph, majoring in history, hoping to eventually become a history teacher. I am originally from Burlington, Ontario, where I played both hockey and football. I am extremely facinated with History, as well as Human Geography. Learning about Scottish tourism, and more specifically guidebooks and postcards has helped me gain a better understanding and appreciation towards Scottish culture as a whole and has allowed me to understand how much of current Scottish culture is based on the past. This course was especially helpful in gaining an understanding on how the common person would live, as well as communicate with others over the past 300 years.
