We selected Japanese cuisine and a recipe for Japanese Fluffy Cheesecake. This recipe was from Japanese Cooking Made Simple, which was published in 2014 by Salinas Press. One of the most common foods discussed in Western societies is the Japanese fluffy cheesecake or chiizukeiki. We are interested in this recipe because cheesecake is a dessert liked by people in different cultures; however, the Japanese fluffy cheesecake has characteristics that make it stand out. It is lighter, fluffier, and doesn’t have a strong cheese flavor. Many people in Canada would be interested to try this cheesecake because it’s a unique type of cheesecake and is more similar to a sponge cake. It the taste would definitely appeal to other cultures that don’t prefer sweet foods.
