Reflections

We prepared a recipe for stir fried pork and pineapple from Linda Lau’s, The Hakka Cookbook. Our final reflections on this project are as follows. We learned how to analyze a recipe through using different approaches and came to understand what value chain means to a recipe. Most of our classmates really liked our dish. The comments included “it reminds me of home” and an “amazing blend of flavors!” Based on the work involved in shopping, preparing and serving the food and my classmates’ view to this recipe, our overall rating of the dish is an 8.5 out of 10.

In China, people will say ‘haochi’ to show how much they enjoyed our food.
