SWISS BISKUITROLLE (cake roll)

final photo biskuitrolle.JPG

We selected Swiss cuisine and a recipe for Biskuitrolle. This recipe was from Dr. Oetker, Backen macht Freude, which means Baking Makes you Happy, published in by Nachdruck. We chose this recipe because both of us hold a strong Swiss heritage with one of each of our parents being from Switzerland. Stef on her maternal side and Emily on her paternal side. Both of us have very fond memories of eating this dessert at Christmas time and we saw this project as the perfect opportunity to try to recreate it. (Though it will never be as good as our grandmothers’).

This exhibit was created by Stefania Dramisino (Year 2, Applied Human Nutrition) and Emily Meier (Year 2, Applied Human Nutrition).
