About this recipe

RASPBERRY KIWIFRUIT AND BANANA SALAD WITH LIME DRESSING

The author of this cookbook is Loukie Werle, published in Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia by Peter Antill-Rose & Associates in 1990. It is filled with pictures of the food the recipes make and pictures of Australia. The book clearly was intended to advertise the country itself as much as the cuisine.

There is a chapter of recipes dedicated to “The International Influence”, The beginning of which boasts of how on one Australia’s greatest assets is its multicultural society. The chapter the kiwifruit salad is in is called “Just Desserts”, as it is a dessert due to it’s strong, sour flavour.

The recipes in the cookbook are arranged according to parts of Australia the ingredients are from in and the types of ingredients. One chapter called “Fruits of the Sea” focuses on locally caught seafood. Another, “Natural Goodness” focuses on fruits and vegetables.
