Reflections

Dan Dan Mian

We prepared a recipe for Dan Dan Mian From Hsiung, D., Lowe, J., & Simonds, N, The food of China: a journey for food lovers. Australia: Murdoch Books. Our final reflections on this project are as follows. This project taught us about Chinese cuisine and how dishes differ from province to province. Many people thought it was spicy and that they have never had “anything like this before”. We thought the overall rating of the food was well done. Shopping was convenient and preparation was easy to do. The ingredients were not too hard to find. Classmates thought it was spicy but, that is the nature of the dish.

请享用 (Qǐng xiǎngyòng) in Mandarin means “enjoy”.
