Reflections

S04HUNGARIANCHICKENPAPROKASHCOOKBOOK.png

I prepared a recipe for Chicken paprikash from the Hungarian Agricultural Marketing Center, Flavors of Hungary. My final reflections on this project are as follows,

The most interesting thing I learned during this project was the historical prominence of Hungarian culture throughout much of Western history.  This  dish was, and still is enjoyed in all ranks of society from the royal family to those not so well off. Although the ingredients may not be at the same caliber, the main star of the dish is still sweet paprika, coated around slow cooked chicken. Everyone who could taste my food, said they enjoyed it, especially liked coating the gnocchi I served with the creamy sauce/gravy from my dish. Many students suggested that they world serve this dish with a side of veggies, and they would make it spicier!

My personal opinion of this recipe is totally biased. Still I’m going give my dish a 9/10, just because I would have really enjoyed a nice fresh side of a vegetable as well.
