NASI GORENG

We prepared a recipe for nasi goreng from Sri Owen, The Indonesian Kitchen: Recipes and Stories. Our final reflections on this project are as follows.  The most interesting thing we learned is how vast the flavour profiles and spices used in Indonesian cooking are. Based on feedback from our classmates, many found the nasi goreng to be less oily than other fried rice dishes. One classmate said, “I like how this recipe incorporated some spice, which is different than other fried rice dishes I've  tried."  Overall,  our classmates’ and our own rating of nasi goreng is excellent. It was easy to prepare and serve, the taste was not compromised, and everyone enjoyed the dish.

Selamat makan!
