RASPBERRY KIWIFRUIT AND BANANA SALAD WITH LIME DRESSING

I prepared a recipe for Raspberry Kiwifruit and Banana Salad with Lime Dressing from Loukie Werle’s “Australia, The Lucky Country Cookbook”. My final reflections on this project are as follows.

The most interesting thing I learned is that Canada has a lot in common with Australia, our diverse assortment of cultures. Another interesting thing is that I found out you can use the rind of a lime as part of a dressing for a salad. I never would have thought that the rind of a fruit would tastes good since most things I have made with oranges and lemons just have you take the rind off and not use it.

My classmates all gave positive feedback on the salad saying that they liked the tangy-sour flavour. A couple people mentioned that the flavour reminded them of a mojito, and suggested I try mixing some of the ingredients into an alcoholic beverage. I would give Raspberry Kiwifruit and Banana Salad with Lime Dressing a 4 out of 5, since it is quick and easy to make and serve. The only downside is that as a salad made of fresh peeled fruit. So, it does not keep for very long even with refrigeration. I will without a doubt be making this dish again in the future, and I hope you will try it and like it as much as I do. Enjoy!
