About this recipe

TAIWANESE MINCED PORK RICE

Taiwanese cuisine is unique since it was influenced by both Chinese and Japanese cuisines. Taiwanese cuisine utilizes a lot of soy sauce in their cooking.

In terms of the cookbook, the pictures were very useful as they offered guidance with the cooking process. Each recipe in the book had multiple photos, including a photo of the recipe itself. Furthermore, each recipe in the cookbook offered step by step instructions. This enables readers to create simple, yet home cooked meals typically made in Taiwanese cuisine.

This recipe is interesting since Minced Pork Rice is one of many Taiwanese delicacies. Minced Pork Rice is a known dish among the Taiwanese cuisine and varies depending on location. Regardless of recipe, restaurant or location, all minced pork rice dishes contain ground pork, soy sauce and rice. The variation in recipes is based from the spices which changes the taste of the overall dish.
