APPLE TART FROM MADRID

4 adult servings of this recipe cost $7.00. If we had used the highest priced ingredients we saw for sale on Tuesday October, 10th in Mississauga, this cost would be 54% higher.  We chose to use all the lowest priced ingredients in order to avoid waste and keep costs down.  Butter and flour were the most costly items on our list, but this was due to the large amounts we purchased. However, these ingredients can be stored for long periods of time and are household staples so there we did not contribute to food waste.
