POLISH APPLE PIE

I selected Polish cuisine and a recipe for szarlotka. This recipe was from Wielka Ksiega Ciast Siostry Anastazji, which was published in 2013 by Wydawnictwo WAM.

Szarlotka, also known as Jablecznik, is a classic polish dessert that can be thought of as an Apple Pie. This is a dessert that can be enjoyed all over the world as the most exotic ingredient would be the apples. It is a fairly simple and inexpensive recipe with a nice sweet and tart apple flavour to it. Szarlotka would most likely be enjoyed in Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec as all are major apple producers. Many people in China, the United States, France, Germany, and of course Poland would enjoy this as well as these are the countries with the highest overall apple production. I was interested in this recipe as it had ties to my childhood and I was always the happiest when my mama would bake one every now and then.
