We prepared a recipe for sirniki from the Wayne Gisslen, Professional Cooking for Canadian Chefs, Seventh addition. Our final reflections on this project are as follows.
The most interesting aspect we learned from this experience was reading about Russian cuisine, as it is very unique and interesting, yet it is not well known around the world. Our classmates seemed to enjoy our food, as one of them stated, “It was very delicious, so far one of my favorites.” Many of them love pancakes, therefore they enjoyed learning how to make a new variation of them. We would rate this food a 10/10 as they were very simple to make and shop for, as well as how delicious they tasted.
