Russian cuisine is perhaps, one of the most interesting in the world and each dish is a masterpiece of culinary art. The basics of Russian cuisine has remained intact for centuries. Russian cuisine it is unique and distinctive and has been formed under the influence of different environmental, geographical, social, historical and economic factors.
The cookbook that we used is actually a textbook, which contains hundreds of recipes from around the world. We chose this concept because although it has so many recipes, Russian cuisine only makes up a small portion of it, therefore, the recipes the authors chose must be very popular and widely used. The textbook uses techniques that are very practical in the kitchen, therefore we get to learn about the recipe, plus develop skills that we can apply to many different recipes as well.
This recipe is very simple and easy to follow and most of the ingredients needed are ones that people most likely will have in their kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
