Based on our analysis, it seems that this recipe should be eaten at special occasions only. This recipe is poor when it comes to nutrition because it is high in fat, high in salt, high in cholesterol, and high in empty calories because of low macronutrients, vitamins, and minerals. However, it does provide some protein, calcium, folate (B9), potassium, and some vitamin A which are all needed in a healthy diet. Healthy substitutes such as substituting butter for margarine, white flour for whole wheat flour, would not significantly improve the nutrition of this recipe enough to be make it edible weekly or daily, and would also take away from its flavour and richness.
