GERMAN WEINER SCHNITZEL WITH WHITE SAUCE

S03-GERMAN-WEINERSCHNITZELANDWHITESAUCE.jpg

We selected German Cuisine and a recipe for Wiener Schnitzel with a White Sauce. This recipe was from Mimi Sheraton’s The German Cookbook: A complete guide to mastering authentic German cooking, published in 1965 by Random House, New York. We chose this recipe because German cuisine is close to our hearts due to past experiences travelling to Germany and nearby areas. German food is also generally delicious with tasty ingredients. Finally, we wanted to see how we could bring German food to our homes, and how easy or hard this might be do.

This exhibit was created by Kate Neuts (Year 3, Applied Human Nutrition), Emma Speller (Year 5, Hotel and Food Administration) and Shannon Pringle (Year 4, Applied Human Nutrition).
