Ingredients

MINI LEBANESE PANCAKES WITH CREME - “KATAYEF BI KUSHTA”

PANCAKES:

  • 4 tsp - Yeast
  • ¼ tsp - sugar
  • 1 ¼ cup - lukewarm water
  • 2 ¼ cups - lukewarm milk
  • 1 cup - unbleached flour
  •  ½ cup - Wondra flour (Robin Hood Blending Flour)
  • 1 tbsp - rice flour

CREME FILLING:

  • 1 ½ tsp - sugar
  • 5 slices - white sandwich bread
  • 2 ¼ cups - half-and-half
  • 1 ½ tbsp - cornstarch

SYRUP:

  • 1 cup - water
  • 2 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 2 cups - granulated sugar

TOPPINGS:

  • Zaher lamoon (Orange Blossom Jam)
  • pistachios
