THAI FRIED PORK OMELETTE

We selected the Thai cuisine and a recipe for Ground Pork Omelet. This recipe was from Leela Punyaratabandhu’s, Simple Thai Food, which was published in 2014 by Ten Speed Press. We were intrigued by this recipe, because we both enjoy breakfast foods. We were interested to see how other cultures interpreted breakfast foods. We also love Thai cuisine and were curious to know what a traditional Thai dish entails, and how it differs compared to a Canadian omelet. We estimate around 1% of the Canadian population will be interested in this recipe, according to data collected from Statistics Canada. Since eggs and pork are quite prevalent in the Asian culture, both by production and by popularity, this dish is a perfect representation of the Thai culture through incorporation these components.
