Reflections

CHAPLI KABAB

I prepared a recipe for Chapli Kabab from the Sumayya Usmani, Summers Under the Tamarind Tree: Recipes and Memories from Pakistan cookbook. My final reflections on this project are as follows.

I decided to do a recipe that was somewhat out of my comfort zone. Trying out something unfamiliar allowed me to expand my palette.

This recipe was a success because not only did it teach me more about Pakistani cuisine, it was popular amongst my peers and friends. Most of my classmates had not tasted these flavors but responded very positively to the taste. I asked if they would change any ingredients to which one reviewer said, “No. It’s amazing!

Overall, this journey to this recipe was awesome. 5/5
